This category accepts audio submissions of either podcasts or collaborative radio shows. Eligible submissions must have been created within the curriculum for RTA 104; they must have been created by students within the RTA School of Media; they must have been created between April 12, 2021 and March 28, 2022. Nominees for this category are judged on the quality of their content and overall production value.

This award was for the class Young Adult Novels, in which students are required to read and analyze several novels geared towards teens and young adults, as well as write responses and theses about trends in writing.

FIRST PLACE: INDIVIDUAL DOCUMENTARY - NATIONAL HISTORY DAY
Awarded by the Social Studies Department at Erie High School for the documentary "The Ray Brothers: The Ultimate Sacrifice" it later went on to win an honorable mention for the Best in Show category at EHS and make it to the final round of NHD Regionals at UNC.

PERFORMANCE AT CARNEGIE HALL AS CHORAL PERFORMER (ALTO 2)
Joined a group of high school and collegiate choral students, as well as a full orchestra, in New York City. Performed the world premiere of the piece "Reflections on A Mexican Garden" composed by Kevin Padworski and conducted by Dr. Gregory Gentry. As a part of this performance, the choir worked with a professional soprano soloist and sang in both English and Nahuatl.

BEST OF SHOW RUNNER UP: LIVE PROGRAM VIDEO
Awarded by the Colroado Student Media Association as part of a student journalism conference. The broadcast in question was of the Erie vs Evergreen Football game, in which I ran main camera through the Erie Tiger Network program. I was also news director of this program.

The AP Scholar Awards recognize high school students who have demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement on AP Exams. A roster of award recipients is provided online to their secondary schools and districts. Additionally, students are able to print a copy of their award certificate(s) online, and the awards are reflected on all score reports sent to colleges after awards are conferred. Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

AP Capstone™ is a diploma program from the College Board. It’s based on two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing receive the AP Capstone Diploma™.

Lorraine created and ran a public library for residents of Erie and the money from her estate is used for this scholarship. Additionally awarded a scholarship by the EHS Education Foundation in the amount of $2,000.

Point Foundation (Point) is the nation’s largest higher education scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students. Point’s multifaceted support of its scholarship recipients (“scholars”) extends far beyond direct financial contribution toward the cost of their education.
